I have controls that were made in CSF that do not recover between 80% and 120% (or the CVs are greater than 20%).

Pooled CSF can have interferences that are not present in properly collected and curated CSF. Poor recovery may be due to sample interferences. Higher CVs are typically seen with certain samples (individuals or pools). Variability can result from improper handling of the peptide calibrators at higher concentrations.
