The
U-PLEX platform offers validated components that can be combined to create high quality assays quickly and easily. The U-PLEX Human GLP-1 (total) 384-well Assay has the essential components for an assay that measures GLP-1 (total) in a single-analyte format on 384-well plates. For information on multiplexing GLP-1 (total) with other analytes, please see
U-PLEX Custom Metabolic Group 1 (human) Assays.
Related Key Terms: Glucagon-Like Peptide-1, GLP-1, metabolic diseases, metabolism, proglucagon, insulin, diabetes

Notes: - The U-PLEX Human GLP-1 (total) Assay has been designed to eliminate a bias towards the active fragment of GLP-1 that was observed in the previous MSD Total GLP-1 (ver. 2) assay. The U-PLEX Human GLP-1 (total) Assay detects both active and inactive fragments of GLP-1 equivalently and enables improved quantitation of total GLP-1 in samples. Because of these changes, concentrations of samples will not correlate between the U-PLEX Human GLP-1 (total) Assay and the previous MSD Total GLP-1 (ver. 2) assay. Please contact MSD Scientific Support for further information.
- GLP-1 (7-36; active) and GLP-1 (9-36; inactive) cross-react with the GLP-1 (total) assay as expected. We do not recommend multiplexing the GLP (total) assay with the GLP (inactive) or GLP (active) assays on the same plate.
