Rockville, MD – February 18, 2015 – Meso Scale Discovery, a division of Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC. (MSD), is pleased to announce the introduction of its new U‑PLEX platform. U‑PLEX simplifies multiplexing and allows researchers ultimate flexibility to create their own multiplexed assays in real time in their labs.
The open U‑PLEX platform is compatible with virtually any binding element including antibodies, proteins, peptides, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and oligonucleotides. U‑PLEX leverages MSD’s MULTI‑ARRAY technology, which has been widely adopted by researchers in pharmaceutical companies, universities, and clinical laboratories worldwide for its high sensitivity, excellent reproducibility, and wide dynamic range.

MSD will immediately offer U‑PLEX Development Packs that allow users to define their personal multiplex assays using their own antibodies or other binding reagents. In the upcoming months, MSD will offer a menu of U‑PLEX single analyte assays that can be mixed and matched to create a customized panel. Preconfigured U‑PLEX Kits with assays that have been optimized for multiplexing will also be available.

The U‑PLEX platform adds to the ever-expanding list of MSD assays that includes the validated V‑PLEX assays for unsurpassed performance and quality and the S‑PLEX assays with improved sensitivity and specificity. All of these assays are compatible with the SECTOR S 600 and MESO QuickPlex SQ 120 instruments.
